Silvio Tavares

Silvio Tavares is an experienced CEO, senior executive and thought leader with over 15 years of experience in the digital commerce and payments industry. Mr. Tavares is President and CEO of The CardLinx Association, a leading global trade association for the payments and digital advertising industries. CardLinx founding members include MasterCard, Discover, First Data, Facebook and Microsoft among others.

He was previously SVP and Global Head of Information Products at Visa Inc. where he led a business unit generating several hundred million dollars in annual sales and successfully launched key new industry leading products in the areas of payment fraud detection, digital marketing and merchant loyalty. Mr. Tavares joined Visa from First Data, where he was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Information and Analytics. At First Data, he patented and launched First Data’s U.S. macro-economic spending indicator. He began his career at AT&T where he authored one of the earliest business method patents for web-based payments. He has authored over fifteen granted or pending patents in the fields of digital commerce, electronic payments and payments analytics.

Mr. Tavares earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law (Oxford University Program), an MBA from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Tufts University.

Neal is the General Manager of Microsoft Earn. he leads Microsoft’s card linking initiatives and leads new initiatives to increase consumer engagement and monetization.  Prior to this role, Neal was Chief of Staff for a number of Microsoft initiatives including Bing Local, Bing Mobile, Bing Maps, MSN, and Local Ad products.

Prior to Microsoft, Neal was a pioneer in the voice recognition industry. He launched IBM’s voice recognition products, he founded two companies that commercialized voice self-service, and for Microsoft he created the industry’s first voice search service.

Carder is a serial entrepreneur who has been nominated for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award three separate times and was previously named San Diego’s Most Influential Tech Executive. He has successfully created several multi-million Internet businesses, including card-linked offer company, Mogl, which was named Most Innovative Tech Company in San Diego. Carder also founded MojoPages, a local search engine that helps people find the best local businesses. Some of the nation’s largest media companies are using MojoPages technology including Hearst, CBS, FOX and ClearChannel.

Bryon Cook

Prior to Empyr, Bryon was previously the Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Lytx, Inc, where he led the organization’s advanced analytics strategy, business intelligence, and algorithm development to support driving safety and autonomous vehicle driving. Bryon held various senior executive positions while at Lytx ranging from product management, quality, operations and manufacturing management, and has led several engineering and development teams. Prior to Lytx, he led product management, marketing and quality teams at Mitchell International, developing technology to the insurance space for efficient processing of automobile physical damage and bodily injury claims. Bryon received an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds multiple patents in driving safety processes and algorithms and is a certified Big Data analytics developer.

Paul manages data analytics products at First Data, a global leader in commerce enabling solutions. His responsibilities include overseeing First Data’s advertising analytics services, SpendTrend branded products, and various merchant analytics offerings. Prior to his current role, Paul headed digital and e–commerce products for First Data’s Gift Solutions business. Paul is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and earned his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

She is also responsible for international product strategy to better serve the needs of Discover’s Network Alliance and Diners Club franchise partners. Prior to her current role, she led the Innovation Office for the Discover Network. Jasma received a M.S. in Statistics from Michigan State University and attended the Kellogg Executive Leadership Program on leading transformation in the digital age. She is on the Chicago Chapter Board of Governors for American India Foundation and a Junior Achievement volunteer.

He began his career at the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine, PA. David is very active in philanthropic activities and serves as a voluntary member on a number of boards. He also actively participates in early stage commercial efforts, from time to time serving on their boards or supporting these ventures through Augeo.

Prior to leading Discover’s Innovation, Products and Merchant Partnerships organization, Ricardo led Discover’s Global Acquiring group for two and half years and served as the Head of Global Commercial Payments for Diners Club International for over a year. Current and past employer list includes: Discover Financial Services/Diners Club International (Chicago, IL; 3.5 years), American Express (NY, USA and Sao Paulo, BR; 7 years), MasterCard International (US/New York and São Paulo, Brazil; 5 years), Visa USA (US, McLean, VA; 1 year), Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group (US, New York, NY; 5 years), e American Management Systems (US, Fairfax, VA; 3 years).

Brandon Logsdon

Brandon is President of PDI’s Engagement & Loyalty business, Excentus.  With over 16 years of experience at Excentus, Brandon has been the driving force behind emerging and developing cents-per-gallon discounts into a coveted rewards currency, creating the Fuel Rewards program – a first-of-kind, nationwide coalition loyalty program, as well as delivering robust loyalty solutions for the convenience retail, consumer packaged goods, and grocery industries.  Prior to joining Excentus in 2002, Brandon worked at, JPMorgan Chase, e-commerce start-up iChoose, and he also co-founded a strategy consultancy, Bloomin’ Partners Inc., providing strategic sales and business development services for venture and private equity backed companies.

Brandon holds a BA in Finance and Marketing from Texas Christian University and is a board member for the North Texas chapter of the Folds of Honor foundation.  He and his wife are proud parents of three children.

In this global role, she is responsible for the strategy, design and management of innovative loyalty value propositions for the merchant community. MasterCard is committed to providing tailored, leading edge loyalty solutions that help businesses drive greater engagement and create longer term more profitable customers.

Kirsty brings a wealth of loyalty knowledge and expertise having been the Co-CEO of Pinpoint Pty Ltd, one of Asia Pacific’s leading loyalty and marketing service companies with offices in Australia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Taiwan. During her 20+ year tenure at Pinpoint, Kirsty was instrumental in the growth of the company to over 500 employees where she developed highly successful, award winning loyalty and marketing programs across a broad range of industry verticals including financial services, retail, travel and entertainment. Pinpoint was acquired by MasterCard in July 2014.

Prior to Pinpoint, Kirsty worked at Qantas and American Express.

Kirsty holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales where she was a University Medallist. In Australia, she was a board member of ADMA, the leading marketing and advertising association and an advisory board member for Visit California.

Paul Siegfried

Paul joined TransUnion in 2015 as the leader of the TransUnion’s Card organization, including both Market Strategy and Market Development. Transunion would become the first data platform to be represented on The CardLinx Association board of directors. Pauls teams at Transunion gather client needs, collect market intelligence and deliver thought leadership and solutions to the market.

Prior to joining TransUnion, Paul spent 12 years at Fifth Third Bank as Director of the Credit Card lines of business. Key contributions over the last decade include developing and leading the strategy resulting in ten-fold growth of the business to $2.6B in assets. A major component driving growth of profitability has been the ability to leverage the knowledge and manpower of key strategic partners such as TransUnion, MasterCard, Argus, Zoot, Vantiv and TSYS. Additionally, Paul was responsible for Fifth Third Student Lending from 2012–2014 and the associated partnership with Sallie Mae.

Paul spent 1996-2003 with Visa Sales and departed as the Midwest Regional Manager.

In addition, Affinity’s Coupon-on-a-Card technology offers a highly differentiated, real-time customer experience that’s fundamentally changing the way card-linked offers are delivered in the marketplace. Lastly, the company provides a gateway service for retailers looking to distribute their offers in a variety of different publishing environments, with access to over 200 million customers.

Jonathan is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, and briefly attended Harvard Business School.

Those efforts received five industry recognitions in the last two years including PYMNTS.com POS Innovation Award and Pay Before’s Outstanding Loyalty Program.

Erin Warren serves as the senior vice president of marketing at Cartera Commerce, a leading provider of loyalty marketing solutions and rewards programs that increase revenue and customer loyalty. Last year, Cartera Commerce was acquired by Ebates/Rakuten, and Erin, along with Cartera’s executive team, has led the successful transition to strengthen loyalty marketing solutions for its customers. As part of the integration of Cartera into Ebates/Rakuten, Erin is now also heading up the Rakuten Card Linked Offer Network for Rakuten. Before coming to Cartera, Erin was CMO at CollegeWeekLive (an edtech start-up) and VP of Channel Marketing for Sallie Mae. Erin came to Sallie Mae through the successful acquisition of Upromise where she led member acquisition marketing for this coalition-based marketing company. A marketing veteran with 20 years of experience in the industry, Erin has always been motivated by the opportunity to enhance the way companies execute their marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. A former two-time luge Olympian (’94 and ’98), Erin is currently President of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Luge Association as well as a member of the U.S. Luge Foundation. She earned her MBA from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Sabine Brunthaler has longstanding, international experience in client-facing advisory roles in professional B2B services providing strategic business support to senior leaders of large and mid-sized global organizations. Most recently with Boyden Executive Search, Sabine was the Lead Partner for Finance and Life Sciences in Switzerland. Additionally, as a committee member of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, she helped member organizations grow in the UK and continental Europe.

Before that, Sabine was CEB’s Director Member Services for their European Finance Practice offering best practice research for management strategies and serving over 150 of Europe’s leading organizations across industries. Her earlier experiences include working for CEB’s IT Practice in new member acquisition, developing marketing strategies for an American software company as well as managing a team of 150 trainers in adult education.

She holds a humanities degree from the University of Vienna and an Austrian diploma in training management. Sabine received her marketing qualifications in the UK with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her MBA at London Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan University) allowed her to analyze consulting needs for human resources, information technology and finance in organizations across Europe, an area of additional research for the past two years. Sabine is fluent in German, English, and French.

Ming Lacey is the PR Director of The CardLinx Association.
She directs media outreach and strategy, manages social media engagement, explores strategic partnerships and identifies conference and journalist interviews/ speaking opportunities for CardLinx and its members.
Ming’s communications career began in New York City as the PR and Communications Manager for The Reserve, a money fund company. After managing crisis and triage communications at The Reserve, Ming joined Rubenstein Associates as Assistant Vice President in the financial and legal group where she helped financial services institutions, law firms and non-profit organizations to amplify their messages to the business media. Following a move to Portland, Oregon, Ming worked at LANE PR as Account Director overseeing their largest agency accounts with regional community banks and financial institutions.

Prior to her work in public relations, Ming started her career in the financial services industry as a portfolio assistant at Alliance Bernstein managing municipal bond funds. Then she worked at Citigroup in Hong Kong and New York for five years in varying capacities in the Corporate Realty Services and Global Transaction Services divisions where she focused on marketing, branding and internal communications. Ming is a graduate of the University of Chicago and received a B.A. in Economics.
